Description

What it does

Cross-platform. FeatureCompute owns per-device host-profile, saved-computer, recent-connection, Catty favorite-folder, manual-host, Remote Cat credential, SSH credential, and VNC credential stores, SSH handoff command policy, the versioned PCM/multipart/jitter/security contract for the app-peer VNC audio side-channel, pure Tailscale status parsing/mapping, Tailscale CLI path/argument/environment policy, Tailscale section subtitle/state presentation, Tailscale serve DNS/funnel status policy, and tailnet service probe response classification/model-list decoding. Shared discovery contracts, Compute persistence models, and P2P Model Link peer/Bonjour/loopback contract are packaged in LocalAIContracts; VNC UI is packaged in RoyalVNCKitUI. Networking discovery/probing/cloud sync, Tailscale CLI process execution, tailnet HTTPS transport/TLS fingerprint capture, P2P advertise/browse/relay transport, sharing orchestration, audio capture/playback and VNC-session UI, SSH Terminal/pasteboard side effects, Terminal3D shell-spawn, and Compute UI remain app-owned. Two-way audio is a bearer-token-gated `/v1` side-channel, appears only for `hasModelServer` peers, prefers Tailscale HTTPS/WireGuard, and tears down with VNC; plain RFB remains screen-only. Terminal3D shell-spawn is Outdoor macOS only (→ iOS partial); remote-cat and iOS AWDL P2P model surfaces are contributed through the ChatBackend registry (ModelCatalogContributor), so the runtime catalog no longer injects them inline. TERMINAL: the remaining app-owned networking/transport/SSH/Terminal3D/VNC and Compute UI are irreducible app-shell. Apple Events (NSAppleScript) opens Terminal.app for SSH on Outdoor macOS.
